Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose CarSearch?

Since 2001, we’ve led T&T in stolen vehicle recovery and property protection. We don't just provide equipment; we provide a 24/7 lifeline. When you call us, you’re speaking to local experts who truly care about your safety.

What makes our recovery rate so high?

We combine the right technology with an elite in-house Armed Security Team. Our longevity is built on one thing: results. We maintain an average recovery rate of over 98% because we own our infrastructure and train our own people.

How does our system work?

We use a dedicated, island-wide Radio Frequency (RF) network. Unlike GPS-only systems, RF can "see" through steel containers, underground garages, and dense foliage. It emits a silent signal that allows our team to pinpoint your asset’s exact location for a fast recovery.

Does CarSearch only find motor vehicles?

No. We are a full-spectrum security provider. We offer:

  • Property Protection: Smart alarms and CCTV linked to our Command Centre.

  • Personal Security: Portable SOS devices for individuals.

  • Fleet Management: GPS and Hybrid systems for business efficiency.

What is the Operations and Communications Division?

The OCD is our 24/7 "brain." It’s where our technology and personnel unite to monitor alerts, coordinate our armed response teams, and maintain constant communication with you during an emergency.

What happens if my vehicle is stolen?

  1. Call us immediately: Our OCD gathers the details.

  2. Deployment: We dispatch our Armed Security Team instantly.

  3. Report to Police: You file the official report.

  4. Support: We stay in contact with you until the vehicle is located.

What does it cost when you track and locate my vehicle?

If your vehicle is reported stolen, there is no charge for the recovery service. It is included in your protection. (Note: A fee applies only for "location on-demand" tracking requested by the owner).

What is included in my Annual Service Fee?

Your fee covers 24/7 active monitoring by our Command Centre and all costs associated with tracking and recovering your vehicle in an emergency.

What happens if there is a technical issue?

Because our systems are leased, maintenance is our responsibility. If you have a concern, simply visit a Customer Service Centre or for a small fee request a site visit. Our technicians will test and ensure your system is performing perfectly. However, in the case of accidents and new repairs fees are applicable.

What if I sell my motor vehicle?

Bring your vehicle to us before the sale. To stop your billing and protect your account, we recommend visiting your nearest CarSearch branch before handing over the keys. Our technicians will safely remove the tracking equipment.

  • If you have already sold the vehicle: You are responsible for contacting the new owner to arrange for the equipment’s removal or to facilitate a Transfer of Ownership of the service.

  • Important Liability Note: Monthly billing remains active as long as the equipment is in the vehicle. The original account holder remains liable for all charges and arrears until the unit is officially removed or the service is transferred.

What documents are required for an installation?

To ensure a smooth and quick installation, please have the following items ready:

  • Vehicle Certified Copy (Original or clear copy)

  • Updated Insurance Certificate

  • Valid Driver’s Permit

  • Full Payment

On the day of installation: Our team will guide you through completing your application form and signing the Lease & Service Agreement. Once the unit is installed, you’ll simply sign the back of the service order to activate your protection.
